Just read these two articles from "The Register". I was wondering what your take would be wrt wishful thinking (on both China's and the "Wests"'s part) vs. actual Chinese advances.
Is it possible that China will end up being able to develop new technology using whatever tricks they invented to get to 7nm with DUV? Could these same tricks be used (with EUV) to add a few more generations of Moore's Law? Could they use their expertise in AI to aid the design of new chips and their fab processes?
